A $50 trip charge is required prior to a survey being scheduled.
The Support Technician may need to drive in your yard with a bucket truck during the survey.
Our Support Technicians complete wireless surveys once a week, weather permitting.
Once the survey has been completed, a CSR will contact you with the survey results.
There are no guarantees the survey will pass.
If the survey passes, you will likely need to have a pole set to receive service.
If the Support Technician determines service is available to you without needing a pole, we will schedule your installation immediately.
If the survey fails with no options for service, the $50 trip charge will be refunded.
The $50 trip charge for the survey will be credited toward your installation fee, if we are able to provide you with service.
If we can install service directly on your house, using a ladder, your installation fee will be $100.
Your installation fee will be $200 if any of the following things are required:
Installing on a pole.
A bucket truck is required for the installation.
The technician needs to get on the roof.
MCG needs to bury a line to your house from a pole or other structure on the property.
If the technician determines there is a way for MCG to deliver service (for instance you can set a pole) and you opt not to proceed, the $50 trip charge is non-refundable.
If a pole is needed, it's your responsibility to arrange the pole installation and payment.
MCG recommends a 50' pole (40' above ground).
We can provide you with a recommendation for someone that sets poles. The cost to set a pole is @$750.
Your installation will be scheduled after a pole is set.
It is important for you to understand that your total cost to receive service may be close to $1,000. The pole costing @$750 and the service installation being $200.
